HI, I’M MATT TURNER

I grew up in Columbus, Georgia the youngest of 6 children, which formed my understanding of spatial boundaries. I left Columbus for the big city of Atlanta to attend Georgia Tech (Go Jackets! Sting ‘Em !) After many years, tears and beers, I left with a Master of Architecture degree and a whole new understanding of hard work and all-nighters.

My post graduate years included a wide variety of jobs from computer installation to drafting to lawn care finally leading me to Herring Troy & Associates, where I met Susan Phillips and Joe Hughes. During the 20 years, there as a successful junior executive and project manager, I was able to become a registered architect and take over the company. (okay, so I didn’t do that last part alone)

Hughes Turner Phillips was created in 2014 on the philosophy that team work makes the dream work. (kidding!) I have had the great fortune of working with extremely talented people and even better clients, both of which are necessary to achieve success.

The few days I am not in the office or working on continuing education requirements, I love traveling to warm climates and enjoying meals prepared by others.  I hope to one day retire on a cruise ship and sail around the world multiple times.
