When I was a kid, I didn’t play Super Mario Brothers; I played 3D Home Architect. I am a rising senior at Georgia State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, naturally. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with and learn from the excellent people of Hughes Turner Phillips during my summer break.

Before continuing my education at GSU, I worked in television and film for a few years after earning a BFA in Film Production Design at University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. My post-UNCSA jobs included hands-on work in construction, set dressing, and set design. Atlanta’s booming film industry is the reason I moved here in 2012. Eventually realizing that my life trajectory required a change of pace, I left the film industry to pursue a career in interior design—my original love.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking the red trail at Sweetwater Creek State Park and the mountains around Asheville; visiting family in North Carolina and Virginia; and binge-watching Netflix, all with my fiancé and two pit bull mixes.
